You may know Mathew Klickstein as the author of SLIMED! An Oral History of Nickelodeon’s Golden Age.
You may know Mathew Klickstein as the writer of Steven Seagal’s only horror film to date, Against the Dark.
You may know Mathew Klickstein as that guy who walked by you wearing red running pants and a silly hat for some reason.
But what you probably, very likely DON’T know about Mathew Klickstein is that he had a most unusually usual upbringing. Sure, he went through all the same things YOU did — learning about breasts from such films as RoboCop and Revenge of the Nerds, playing with cardboard boxes a la Calvin and Hobbes, and watching too much Disney Channel in lieu of going outside over the summer — but he ALSO had a very special best friend that you definitely didn’t have because he was just so great. At least as a kid.
Believe it or not (it doesn’t really matter, because here we go, regardless): Mathew Klickstein’s best friend growing up was none other than the ultimate killing machine, The Terminator. Not to be confused with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Detective John Kimble or even Jack Slater.
And for those who don’t believe … just wait until you read the stories to prove it! (And those who DO believe, uh, er … hmm. I, uh … well, you can read, too.)
COMING SOON TO THIS BLOG NEAR YOU: “My Best Friend Was The Terminator” by Mathew Klickstein.
